If the rate is 0.86 EUR per 1 USD at the time of refund, the amount deducted from your account balance is only 51.60 EUR. The customer is always refunded the exact amount they paid and in the currency they paid in, regardless of any rate fluctuations.įor example, if your settlement currency is EUR and you process a 60 USD payment at a rate of 0.88 EUR per 1 USD, the converted amount is 52.80 EUR (excluding the Stripe fee). The amount deducted from your merchant balance depends on the current rate and this amount might be more or less than the original payment. Exchange rates fluctuate with the market, so the rate used during the payment often differs from the rate used when a dispute or refund occurs. If a currency-converted payment is disputed or refunded, the amount you received is converted back to the presentment currency at the current exchange rate. Note that the estimation page shows the baseline exchange rate and excludes the Stripe fees for currency conversion which is incremental to this rate. You can also see the actual exchange rate applied in a transaction through the API or in your Dashboard. You can check the current rate for currency conversions on Stripe using our estimation page. If we do so, we’ll provide additional notice to you. Rarely, Stripe may take other actions to mitigate risk. Stripe does so to mitigate exchange rate risk to you and to Stripe. For example, this can happen if a new exchange rate is mandated by a government or if there is a large discrepancy in rates between our service providers. In certain circumstances, Stripe might apply the rate at which we source the currency owed to you. Currency conversion on Stripe is subject to fees as detailed on our pricing page. Mid-market rate is the average between the buy and the sell price of a currency. When Stripe provides currency conversion services for transactions, Stripe generally applies the mid-market rate based on pricing data sourced from third-party service providers. The effect is that a 50mm full-frame lens mounted on an APS-C body with a 1.5x crop factor will capture a field-of-view that is the same as a 75mm on a full-frame body. This term – full-frame – was defined in contrast to more minor, or APS-C, camera sensors. A full-frame lens is roughly equivalent to a 35mm film frame, while an APS-C sensor is slightly smaller. When you mount a full-frame lens on a camera with an APS-C sensor, you will get a crop factor your camera's APS-C-size sensor magnifies the scene to produce an image that will match the lens's full-frame image circle. In the analog world, it's much easier to carry a 35mm camera than a medium or large format camera, no? While more compact, they're seemingly large enough to produce high-quality photos making them a highly desirable piece for professional and amateur photographers alike. An APS-C sensor is 1.5 times smaller, 25.1mm by 16.7mm, and named after the Advanced Photo System type-C film format, hence its abbreviation.ģ5mm film has historically been the more popular format due to its near-perfect size for capturing almost anything under the radar. So as a reminder here are the pros and cons for both full-frame and crop sensors: Crop sensor. A full-frame sensor has 36mm by 24mm in size based on the traditional 35mm film format. Hopefully by now you have a better understanding of the two main sensor types and can decide which is right for your photography. APS-Cįull-frame and APS-C formats indicate the sensor's physical dimensions, entirely different from pixel count. The Pros and Cons of Upgrading to a Full-Frame Sensor By Rubidium Wu NovemCinematography Video Gear Video Production Is it time to consider upgrading to a full-frame cinema workflow In this article, we’ll look at the advantages and disadvantages of upgrading sensor size. You may move or resize the spiral by clicking inside the spiral or on one of the handles. The new spiral becomes the only selected object after creation. The blue handle is used to squish or give a tilted look to the spiral. The two intermediate handles allow the radius to transition along the spiral, create a "conch" shell appearance. The spiral may be wound or unwound using the handles at the start (center) and end of the spiral. When selected 6 handles are available to adjust the number of turns, outside radius, starting and ending points, and a "tilt" for the spiral. The shape of the spiral may be edited after creation. The final spiral is positioned when the process is completed by releasing the mouse. The opposite corner of the virtual enclosing rectangle moves with the mouse drag action. The mouse down click places one corner of a virtual rectangle that encloses the rectangle. The new spiral is shown as you drag the mouse. The spiral is drawn with the mouse by a single click and drag sequence. The "Rectangular Creation Cursor" (shown above) will reflect the tool selection when the mouse is over the front (top) document window. Spirals are drawn by clicking the "Spiral Tool Button" on the "Tools Palette". The desired window must be brought to the front before clicking on the tool. The new spiral will be drawn on EazyDraw’s front window. If the palette is not visible open it by selecting "Tools" from the "View" item of the "Main Menu". You use the "Spiral Tool" (shown above) which is found on the Tools Palette to create spirals. Always double-check to make sure you are buying the correct thickness of wire or cable. Conversely, a large number in AWG equates to a very small number of mm.ĪWG sizes do not fit perfectly into mm or inches, so you may need to round up or down when safe to do so.Ĭable sizes (including AWG) refer to the size of the conductor, not the total thickness of the cable including sheathing etc.ĭo not confuse AWG (American Wire Gauge) with SWG (Standard Wire Gauge, the now largely redundant British Imperial standard which was superseded by mm.) as they are not equal. Wire Gauges run low to high - this means that the smaller a gauge number, the larger it is in mm. For audio, video, telephone, security cabling you may want to use smaller cables sizes where the voltage and current are smaller. AWG #įor AWG 23 and upwards - When using a cable to power mains voltages: (110v, 230v etc) the smallest conductor we recommend is 0.5mm. Somehow we don't see ourselves nonchalantly calculating this in our heads every time we speak with an American customer, so we've made up a conversion table which we'd like to share for your convenience. Audiophiles should always wish to minimize speaker cable resistance. In this case, it's usually best to follow the advice of the Borg 'resistance is futile'. Speaker wires with lower-gauge numbers are better at carrying. A lower-gauge number indicates a thicker wire, while a higher-gauge number indicates a thinner wire. The n gauge wire diameter dn in millimetres (mm) is equal to 0.127mm times 92 raised to the power of 36 minus gauge number n, divided by 39: dn (mm) = 0.127 mm × 92(36-n)/39 The higher the gauge, the more resistance. Speaker wires that are anywhere between 12 to 16 gauge are most commonly used for connecting speakers to an amplifier or an Audio/Video (A/V) receiver. First, enter information about your cables, amplifier, and loudspeakers on the left side of the calculator. If you want the technical formulae for converting between the two, it is as follows Here’s a guide to using this free software tool. Unfortunately, AWG does not fit comfortably in rounded mm or inches, so there will always need to be a small amount of rounding up or down depending on your need or purpose. The AWG standard was officially adopted & implemented as industry-standard sizing in 1857. What is AWG? The AWG standard was created by the Brown & Sharpe Company, a leading manufacturer of machinist technology in the late 1800s & early 1900s. Vice Versa, American buyers may be stumped when they are recommended a certain gauge of cable or wire, and don't know how to get it when confronted with mm. When buying cut to length electrical wire or electrical cable, many UK and international buyers face difficulty when confronted with AWG sizing. Crossing another corridor to left will bring Six to the bedroom where the second chef is sleeping on the bed. There she will find cages and baskets filled with small fish, which she can climb to reach a vent leading to a double-toilet washroom. From there she can leap onto the wooden beams overhead, and slowly make her way back to the left side of the room. She must quickly climb some shelves to get out of the chef's reach. Once she made it across the room and up the stairs, Six's path will be blocked by a large metal door closed with a padlock. Six must carefully cross wooden beams in the cooking area. She must be cautious if she finds herself underneath the table with the fish pieces as the chef will spot her underneath it and even reach down to grab her. Six must sneak down the steps and make her way to the stairs across the room while the chef has his back turned. This will trigger the chef to walk down to the next room and tend to multiple ovens. Once he resumes cutting meat, Six should sneak past and hide underneath some shelves just before the doorway. He will walk back and forth between the cutting board and a boiling pot in which he will toss sausages. Entering this room will reveal the first of the Twin Chefs cutting some steaks. Next to it is a corridor, and Six can safely enter the cooking area by crawling through a small doorway leading under some counters where lies a massive fish head. The smallest one can be pushed closer to the window leading to the pantry. To continue, she will have to climb some more baskets and push a lid to the right to create a makeshift ramp.Ĭlimbing some bloody stairs and passing through some swinging traffic doors will bring Six to one more room filled with laundry carts. Once she has fed, she can climb those baskets to reach a window into the next room where more baskets are waiting. She will need to eat a rat caught in a mousetrap in a nearby room filled with laundry baskets. Shortly after, she feels attacks of hunger for the third time. After crossing a chasm, Six will be forced to let go of the hook and fall onto a massive pile of parcels. To continue, Six must grab one of the hooks which is easier to accomplish by jumping from a parcel lying on the ground to the right. After climbing a ladder she finds herself in an area where hooks are seen carrying meat parcels. There are multiples areas in this one location, such as the pantry and the bedroom (see slideshow for the most important areas).įollowing her battle with the Janitor, Six wakes up in the ventilation. Six's main goal here is to escape the Kitchen while avoiding the Twin Chefs. |
